There will be complimentary shuttle service between the hotel and the conference at 8:00am to Nelson Hall and at 7:25pm to the hotel on March 12, and at 8:15am to Nelson Hall and at 1:45pm to the hotel on March 13.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Brownstone Hotel. You can make a reservation online or call the hotel directly at (919) 828-0811. The conference rate is $77/night (excluding taxes etc) if you make a reservation by February 25 and depending on availability. If you call, ask for the "Tournaments Conference" rate. Alternatively, use the Group Booking Code TOU online.
There will be a complimentary room at the hotel available for meetings, working with co-authors etc. Ask the receptionists to direct you to the "Governor's Parlor."
From RDU airport, take a taxi to the Brownstone Hotel on Hillsborough St in Raleigh near NC State (around $25). If you are driving to the Hotel, follow the Google directions. from RDU airport. If you are driving to the conference site (Nelson Hall), you can park at the Dan Allen parking deck on Dan Allen Drive near Nelson Hall (see the north campus map). Regarding restaurant suggestions, Associate Dean Steve Allen prepared a restaurant guide for you. Finally, the following guide provides information on internet access and classroom equipment.
INSTRUCTIONS TO CHAIRS AND PRESENTERS
Each presenter will have twenty five minutes for the presentation and five minutes to respond to questions. If a presenter does not show up, take a break for thirty minutes. Do not move the rest of the talks up because people may be planning to attend specific talks in various sessions. A document projector and a desktop computer will be provided in each room. You can hook up a USB flash drive with your presentation. You can also hook up your own laptop if you need to use specific sofware.
